BEHIND BARS - ALPHEN AAN DE RIJN (ZUID-HOLLAND) 1984

BIOGRAPHY: Formed in 1984, but it takes 'till 1991 before the band releases their 1st demo, ‘In Jail’. The demo contains 3 songs which are good hard rock/heavy metal songs. With this demo the band hopes to get more gigs, which happens. They play on festivals and clubs, mostly in their region.
In 1999 they finally release an album, after 15 years since their start!
The CD, ‘No Way Out’, with 2 tracks from the demo, ‘Asphalt Rocker’ and ‘Sacrificed Blood’ helps the band further to get gigs. The (new) songs are faster than the demo and are well made including twin guitarsolo’s. A bit of a problem are the vocals, but let’s say that’s a matter of taste. It’s not clear if the band still exists, but we do know that singer Marcel van der Haven joined Black Knight and is still active there.
