BLACK CHAPEAUX - ENKHUIZEN (NOORD-HOLLAND) 1982 - 1985

BIOGRAPHY: The band started in 1982 by founding members Henk and Gerrit Keesman (brothers we assume). They waited 2 years before they made their 1st demo as they had up 'till 10 own songs. At gigs you could also find songs from Maiden, Priest, Saxon and Rush on the setlist. These bands where also their main influences heard on the 1st demo. A year later a 3-track demo is recorded in the Radavique Studios in Andijk, and was released soon after. It proved they could make solid Heavy Metal/Hard Rock. Only too bad there is a Thin Lizzy cover, ‘Are You Ready’, on it. Why not a own song? Anyway, it’s a good cover song and 3rd song ‘Dance Macabre’ is a song about the devil which is always a good thing (except from the lyrics: ‘I saw the devil and he was Dancing’!!). After ’85 we lost track of the band.
